(CNN) -- He's already suggested installing coin-operated lavatories and selling standing room on flights, so it may not be surprising that the latest idea from the colorful CEO of Ryanair is once again pushing air travelers' buttons.

It's not necessary to have two pilots on every flight, Michael O'Leary said in a recent interview.

"Let's take out the second pilot. Let the bloody computer fly it," O'Leary told Bloomberg Businessweek, adding that a flight attendant on each flight could be trained to help land a plane if something goes wrong.

"If the pilot has an emergency, he rings the bell, he calls her in," O'Leary told the magazine. "She could take over."

O'Leary also revisited the idea of offering passengers the option of standing on flights in a cabin equipped with handrails, which would reduce fares by up to 25 percent, he said.

SEATTLE (AP) -- Boeing Co. will do some limited testing on two more 787 airliners besides the six planes in its flight test fleet.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes spokeswoman Mary Hanson says the two planes are needed to fulfill requirements to test production versions of the new jet, along with the six configured for the flight test program. One plane will be used for ground tests while the other will fly to check functions, reliability, and operations on routes far from airports.

Hanson says the testing won't affect deliveries of 787s. Chicago-based Boeing said last week that it's further postponing the initial 787 delivery to the middle of the first quarter of 2011 because of problems in getting engines. The delivery date is now more than two years behind the original schedule.

This is a modification of a previous order of 787-8s due to later delivery.

Reuters) - Air China Ltd (0753.HK) said it had agreed to buy 15 787-9 aircraft from Boeing (BA.N) for a total basic price of $3.19 billion to expand fleet capacity.

In a filing to the Hong Kong bourse late on Tuesday, Air China (601111.SS) said the new aircraft would replace 15 787-8 aircraft it agreed to buy in 2005 as Boeing had delayed delivery.

The deal will increase Air China's fleet capacity by about 11 percent based on available tonne kilometers of the company as of the end of 2009, it said.

Ok, not a real big deal about the engine loss, but interesting to note that there were only about 200 people on board this plane. Are bookings still that light on this route?
