Saudi Arabian Airlines To Buy 58 Airbus Planes

Saudi Arabia: Thursday, November 05 - 2009 at 10:12

Khaled Al-Molhem, director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines has said that the national carrier has signed a SR10bn contract with Airbus to buy 58 aircraft with advanced facilities, including A320s, A321s and A330s, Arab News has reported.

'We intend to modernise our fleet by purchasing the most advanced planes available in the world,' Al-Molhem said.

Short, sharp, sweet .. and no doubt, at a great price !

Anyone have any input on delivery schedule info at this stage ?

There seems to be some confusion if this is a new order, or confirmation of an earlier order (MOU?) with similar to identical number of units.
