Airbus Plans to Double Investment in India to $1 Billion Over 10 Years
NEW DELHI (AP) -- Airbus S.A.S. on Thursday said it was more than doubling its investment in India to US$1 billion (euro833 million) over the next 10 years, setting up an engineering facility and a pilot training school in one of the world's fastest growing aviation markets.
The European airplane maker also plans to bring the super jumbo A380 for a test flight to India early next year.

NEW DELHI (AFP) - India's fast-growing aviation market will need 1,100 passenger and cargo aircraft worth 105 billion dollars over the next two decades, European aircraft maker Airbus Industries says.
India will also become the fastest growing country for air travel demand in the next decade, Airbus said in a statement released in New Delhi.
Of the 1,100 new aircraft needed, 935 will be for passengers while 165 will be used for cargo.
